Reporting Sexual or Gender-Based Violence – Tips for Paralegals

This excerpt from the Namibia Paralegal Manual (2012) contains explicit advice for paralegals and other community legal advocates on how to document and handle an incident of sexual or gender-based violence.  It begins by clearly defining forms of domestic violence and domestic relationships beyond obvious physical abuse. Notably, this tool also provides sample forms for reporting an incident of violence with attention to the psychological, physical, and social wellbeing of the claimant and respondent.
